SQUASH WINTER MARINA DE CHIOGGIA

This is a great winter squash! The skin is a silvery blue with bumps and lumps making it look more like a gourd than an edible squash. However, it has a great sweet nutty flavor with deep orange flesh. The hard bumpy skin allows it to store well and can be kept in a cool spot for a couple months after harvest. Squashes can get 10-12 pounds, and could feed a large family! You must try this rare Italian heirloom.
