French Toast with Strawberries

 Ingredients:

4 slices of bread

2 eggs

1/4 cup of milk

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg

2 tablespoons of butter

1 cup of fresh strawberries, sliced

2 tablespoons of maple syrup

Instructions:

In a shallow bowl, beat the eggs with the milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure it is coated evenly.

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the coated bread slices to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

In a small bowl, mix the sliced strawberries with the maple syrup.

Serve the French toast hot with the strawberry mixture on top.
